- Along with the new UI on Android, Google Gemini gets new in-app animations and two new sounds.
- Both changes are already rolling out and should be available to all users soon.

Additionally, the Gemini app gets two new sounds for users to choose from – Flare and Glow. These sounds join the ten sounds already available in the Gemini settings.
While the new animation appears on my phone, I don’t have access to the new sounds yet. It’s likely that the new voices are currently limited to the US. It is also possible for the changes to roll out slowly and reach more users over time.

These changes come just before the Google I/O 2026 keynote scheduled for today. We expect to hear more about Gemini at the event, including a new version of AI. Google has already shown itself Gemini intelligence Last week at the Android Show, but today’s keynote might have more to share as well.
