
Google is updating Android 17’s Quick Settings in the latest beta with a fun new animation that’s a little neater.
live on Android 17 QPR1 Beta 3Pulling down the Quick Settings tray now shows the same little animation you see when you drop into the notification shade. The content of the screen will follow the inertia of the scroll with a “bounce” as it returns to its intended location.
On previous Android devices, this animation only occurred in the notification shade, where it indicated to the user that a second swipe revealed more functionality. Within Quick Settings, though, it’s actually available as a bit of persistence.

Google is rolling out QPR1 Beta 3 to Pixel devices now, with a stable release coming sometime this summer. Meanwhile, we are still waiting for the first stable release of Android 17.
