Gemini Live now works with more “Connected Apps” on Android


as part of Neural expressive redesignGemini Live on Android can now access more first- and third-party “Connected Apps”.

This week’s update lets you “go from typing a quick question to the depth of a free-flowing conversation — and back again without missing a minute.” Gemini Live is integrated directly into the text chat experience with a new floating interface.

Previously, Gemini Live was only integrated with Google Calendar, Tasks, Keep and Maps, as well as third-party equivalents from Samsung, Honor, OnePlus, Oppo, Tecno, Vivo and Xiaomi.

First party list now included Home, Hotels, Flights, Workspace, Photo creation, Shopping, Utilities, YouTube and YouTube Music, but also has Spotify support.

This is the same list of services you can find gemini.google.com/apps. In particular, Utilities on Android opens timers and alarms. Gemini Live now coincides almost exclusively with the Gemini program.

One exception is the ability to send Messages using Gemini Live, a capability that Google notes was first introduced in 2024 by Made by Google.
