Apart from the spotlight Apple Intelligencethere’s a redesigned Photos app, more customization options for your Home Screen (gone, grid!) and icons can be colored. RCS messaging is also now available.
Sign in to update to iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 Parameters application on your device. go away General and then Software update. If you don’t see iOS 18 right away, select the option at the top of your screen to choose between iOS 17 and iOS 18. Note that even though the update is very recent, the updates may take some time to install as many users will struggle to download it.

There is no Apple Intelligence feature yet
As you might expect, the headline feature of iOS 18 is the new Apple Intelligence set of artificial intelligence features — but you won’t find it in the first release of iOS 18. Apple Intelligence will be available on the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro later this year, offering features like live transcription, Writing Tools, generative imaging, and more.
It also introduces new emergency features such as Satellite Messages and Emergency SOS Live Video, as well as Satellite Roadside Assistance.
Apple Intelligence will debut in October as part of iOS 18.1 and later. The first releases will be US English only, with English localization in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and the UK in December. Chinese, French, Japanese and Spanish will be supported next year.
