Home of the Dragon S3 trailer revels in dragons, fire and blood



Some viewers were disappointed with the second season Dragon house it ended with a whimper, not a bang. But the big battle sequence that season 2 set up will open season 3 with a bang, according to the latest trailer, with Westeros known for all its dragons, fire and blood.

as previously reported, the series is established about 200 years before its events games of thrones, when dragons were still a fixture of Westeros and represents the beginning of the end of House Targaryen’s rule. The primary source material Fire and bloodA fictional history of the Targaryen kings written by George RR Martin. As book readers know, these events resulted in civil war and the extinction of dragons—at least until Daenerys Targaryen arrived.

Season two had a lot of political and scheming machinations, but we didn’t get to see the spectacular brutality. Battle of Gulletbecause HBO cut S2’s episode count from 10 to eight. Still, the S2 finale played it up perfectly, as Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) finally declared open dragon war after Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) recklessly destroyed Sharp Point. As for Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney), after his brother usurped the throne — remember, Aegon usurped his rightful heir Rhaenyra — he hid in Braavos, intent on waiting out the war.

Most of the main cast – whose characters survived S2 – return, including D’Arcy, Glynn-Carney and Mitchell.
