List of Best Buy Canada products The Google Home Speaker is currently listed as a release date of June 25, 2026. While retailers occasionally release placeholder dates, this is the first time we’ve seen a specific launch date attached to Google’s upcoming Gemini-powered smart speaker. said that Best Buy’s US site doesn’t yet show a release date, the speaker’s listing is labeled “Coming Soon.”
Since Google itself hasn’t announced a specific release date for the Home Speaker, Best Buy’s listed date is worth taking with a grain of salt for now.
Google first opened It introduced the Home Speaker in October 2025, described it as the first new smart speaker in years, and announced a Spring 2026 release window. The Home Speaker marks a significant shift in Google’s smart home strategy. Instead of carrying the Nest branding, the speaker is simply called the “Google Home Speaker” and has been designed from the ground up around Gemini.

The device is priced at $99.99 and will be available in multiple markets, including the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, Japan and several European countries.
For now, the June 25th release date remains unofficial. But if Best Buy Canada’s listing is accurate, Google could be weeks away from finally shipping its first Gemini-native smart speaker.
