After criticizing a startup called Artisan for misusing his work, artist KC Green – its creator the popular “That’s OK” meme – He said that he reached an agreement with Artisan.

In Artisan’s bus and subway ads, Greene’s recognizable dog sat amid recognizable flames, but instead of saying, “That’s good,” the ad urged people to “hire Ava AI BDR” while announcing, “My pipeline is on fire.”
Earlier this month, Green wrote on social media that his art was being “stolen like AI steals” and urged his followers to “vandalize” the ads if they see them. He also told TechCrunch that he was nervous about having to “try my hand at the American court system” instead of spending this time on his comics.
Meanwhile, Artisan told us he has “a lot of respect for Green and his work.” Then, earlier this week, founder and CEO Jaspar Carmichael-Jack said the two sides had reached an agreement.
When TechCrunch contacted Green, he confirmed that they “reached a resolution very quickly,” with Artisan removing ads in New York and San Francisco that used his character, and Green removing his original post.
