2026 years Summer Play Fest The week started with the first big event Sony State of the game, already in the books. Rayman Legend Retold
First up, we have Rayman Legends Retold, a new entry in the classic Rayman platformer series that promises a high-flying, no-nonsense adventure where Rayman and his friends must save the Dreamwood from evil.
You can punch, kick, and slash your way through obstacles and bad guys in 4-player co-op, alone or with friends.
Rayman Legends Retold is scheduled for release on October 1, 2026 Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC, pre-orders are now open.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis
Next, we have a new trailer for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, the new entry in the classic Tomb Raider action-adventure series.
In this second reimagining of the original 1996 Tomb Raider, you play as legendary explorer Lara Croft.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is scheduled for release on February 12, 2026 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, and pre-orders are open now.
Onimusha: The Way of the Sword
Onimusha: The Way of the Swordthe long-awaited comeback entry Capcom‘s Onimusha franchise has a new trailer showing off more of the sword fighting game and the epic story of legendary samurai Miyamoto Musashi as he fights to save Japan from the evil Genma.
This trailer also confirms that Onimusha: Way of the Sword has a September 25, 2026 release date for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, with pre-orders now available.
On top of that, Capcom has announced that a playable demo for Onimusha: Way of the Sword is now available on all platforms to whet players’ appetites in the meantime.
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Heaven
Bandai Namco took to the stage to announce Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve, the next entry in the long-running aerial combat series. In this game, you play as an elite fighter pilot tasked with defending your country from invaders by participating in dogfights in the air.
The game will feature an epic single-player campaign and various co-op and PvP multiplayer modes with cross-play support.
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve is scheduled for release on October 2, 2026 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, and pre-orders are now available.
Dune: The Awakening
Dune: The Awakening Dune is an open-world survival game based on the dystopian, sci-fi universe, where players must gather supplies to survive the hostile, sandworm-infested world of Arrakis.
Originally released on June 10, 2025 for PC, but now available for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Game Pass A new single player campaign on September 22, 2026, with more storylines and various gameplay improvements and additions.
Resonance control
Review: Resonance, the sequel to the cult action-adventure game Controlgot a new trailer showing off more of its reality-bending gameplay and complex story, where you have to follow Jesse Faden, the protagonist of the previous game, and save the world from supernatural, cosmic threats.
Additionally, the trailer confirms that Control: Resonant will be released on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on December 24, 2026, and that pre-orders are already available.
Dynasty Warriors 3: Remastered Complete Edition
The Dynasty Warriors series revisits one of its most classic entries and gives it a modern upgrade with Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered.
Control one of the 40 warriors in Romance of the Three Kingdoms and charge into battle to destroy thousands of enemies on screen in a grand fantasy of power that only the Dynasty series can provide.
Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered is scheduled for release on October 1, 2026 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, and pre-orders are open now.
Silent Hill: Townfall
Konami’s next entry in the Silent Hill series, Silent Hill: Townfall, has received a new trailer, confirming that it will be released on September 24, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC, and that pre-orders are now open.
In this game, you play as Simon Ordell, who comes to St. Amelia Island to “fix things” but runs into a seemingly abandoned town shrouded in an eerie fog.
Simon is a living nightmare as he must use his wits and limited fighting skills to solve tricky puzzles to avoid being killed by monsters and uncover the truth behind this terrifying city.
Stunt Hollywood
A pleasant surprise for racing fans came in the form of Stuntman: Hollywood, a new entry in Saber Interactive’s Stuntman franchise. In this game, you play as a Hollywood stuntman and your goal is to perform death-defying stunts and tricks to be filmed for movies and TV shows.
This game will let you drive iconic cars used in classic movies and shows like Back to the Future, Knight Rider, Miami Vice, Death Race and more.
Stuntman: Hollywood is slated for release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC later, and it’s available to wishlist now.
YEAR
A new story trailer has surfaced for the dark, disturbing, first-person survival horror game simply titled ILL. In this game, you are trapped inside a research castle and it is full of all kinds of horrible monsters that have breached the security.
You’ll need to collect weapons to protect yourself and medical supplies to keep you alive as you struggle to find a way to escape this decaying castle and uncover its dark secrets.
ILL will be released later for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, and is now available for wishlisting.
