YouTube creator DirectorFeng is back with another ASMR themed video where they try to improve memory on a new Apple device. Watch below.

Last year we covered DirectorFeng’s attempt to upgrade the iPhone 17 Pro Max to 2TB of storage caused NAND incompatibility issues.
Still, the ASMR-themed teardown video made for an interesting watch, if you’re into that sort of thing.
Now, DirectorFeng is back with a new “immersive teardown” where it has successfully upgraded the 256GB. MacBook Neo Up to 1 TB.
But the process was not simple. After taking apart the logic board and revealing its internals, DirectorFeng disassembles the board MacBook Neo‘s 256GB NAND chip, wipes everything and then solders it in place of 1TB.
Once everything is put together, launch DirectorFeng MacBook Neoit goes through the necessary DFU steps with the help of a second Mac and finally shows the details of the new 1TB MacBook Neo In System Settings.

Interestingly, DirectorFeng doesn’t seem to be the first to try this particular mod.
In the comments section of the video, viewers pointed to another repair creator, Yang Changshun, who performed the same upgrade during the live stream, although the video is not available on YouTube.
