Forget $50,000 new cars – these 4 reliable small sedans are still under $25,000.

Still, a handful of compact sedans start under $25,000, get more than 30 mpg real-world fuel economy, and have features that would have cost considerably more just a few years ago.

This alone makes these sedans worth serious consideration for a wide range of buyers. A family putting a teenager behind the wheel for the first time, someone downsizing after the kids move out, a new retiree who doesn’t need a bigger vehicle, or anyone who just wants a reliable car for the daily commute will find plenty here.

Low starting prices, strong fuel economy and generous standard features mean you won’t be giving up much (if anything) to save money. Here are four new small sedans at the lowest prices you can buy right now.

Affordable sedans and low line

All four of these sedans offer real value in a new car market where it’s hard to find a more affordable price than before.

The Toyota Corolla has a reputation for fuel economy and long-term reliability. The Hyundai Elantra offers the best warranty and a hybrid option if you want. The Nissan Sentra brings the freshest design and the most front legroom. And the Kia K4 beats them all with starting price and cargo space, and a long factory warranty to match.
