The Galaxy Z TriFold is only three months old, and yet Samsung has directly confirmed that the device has been discontinued, and it looks like we won’t see any more stock online.
Following initial reports earlier this weekThere is a Samsung approved to Bloomberg The Galaxy Z TriFold is being discontinued. The device was first launched in the United States At the end of January 2026.
Bloomberg explains:
A company spokesman said the Korean company will begin by ceasing sales in its home market, then cease operations in the United States after clearing remaining inventory. The move was expected: this month, Samsung’s website stopped selling future stocks of the winged folding device, which has two hinges and folds into a large 10-inch tablet. Now it just says TriFold is “sold”.
Samsung website It suggests online stock will not return, saying only interested customers can purchase the Galaxy Z TriFold in person at Samsung Experience Stores. The page previously teased incoming stock, but now features a “check out” button, prompting shoppers to find nearby stores.
Bloomberg also notes that online reports indicate that some buyers have found units available for purchase at Samsung stores in Texas (Frisco) and New York (Queens), but your results may vary. When Samsung sells these scattered devices, the foldable device will “discontinue operations in the United States.”

The $2,899 foldable was Samsung’s first model with two hinges and three internal display units, but Samsung never intended to sell the device to the mass market. Still, the early departure is a bit surprising. Previous reports have claimed that factors such as the cost and complexity of building the TriFold, along with the rising costs of the smartphone market as a whole during a RAM shortage, played a role in Samsung’s decision.
