The survey says the gap between ChatGPT and Gemini is wider than ever

At least if we’re talking strictly household names, there are two heavy AI services: ChatGPT and Gemini. Chances are you’ve used both in the past – I certainly have. While I can turn to ChatGPT when I need to initiate a request on the desktop, Gemini is my top choice for convenience on Android. So which of these two products do you prefer?

We recently conducted a survey to find out, and the results are in.

This poll received over 2,000 votes and there is one runaway winner. With almost three-quarters (71.5%) of the vote, Google Gemini stands out as the AI ​​of choice when users are faced with the above choice.

According to the comments, Gemini’s popularity stems from the fact that our readers use AI primarily on their smartphones and secondarily on their devices.

“Gemini AI is a better tool for me because it’s integrated into my Samsung mobile and wearable ecosystem, including Android Auto integration, and my Google One AI Pro 5TB subscription gives me storage across Google products and more included in my monthly subscription,” writes reader Jaycee.

This does not mean that about a quarter of people turn to ChatGPT. OpenAI’s assistant received only 12.8% of the vote, which is a relatively large difference of ~1200 votes in nominal terms.

Interestingly, a third player actually beat ChatGPT to second place. Anthropic Claude He got 13.5% votes. That’s a margin of just over 20 votes, but it shows that readers are leaning towards other AI products and away from ChatGPT as the de facto default.

Finally, only 2.2% of readers turn to another service or choose to avoid AI altogether – quite a feat in today’s society.

Note that Microsoft’s Copilot also got a small nod in the comments section.
