
Apple announced today that soon Sign in with Apple and iCloud+ will use a single shared domain for personal email addresses created by Hide My Email. Here are the details.

a new post In its developer blog, Apple announced today that “Sign in with Apple and iCloud+ will combine the email domains used by Hide My Email under a single, shared domain.”
In practice, this means that the new domain, private.icloud.comSign in with Apple and iCloud+ will be used to assign new email addresses to Hide My Email.
From Apple:
New addresses created for both features will be issued in the new domain. For example:
- Sign in with the Apple addresses provided earlier
privaterelay.appleid.comwill be released onprivate.icloud.com.- iCloud+ Hide My Email Addresses, given earlier
icloud.comwill be released onprivate.icloud.com.
As Apple explains, users should not be directly affected by this change, as “existing addresses on legacy domains will continue to work and send mail to users without interruption.”
However, developers and email service providers may need to update their systems. Developers must ensure that account systems, email validation logic, and whitelists are adopted private.icloud.comemail service providers should “update any domain-based filtering, blacklisting, or routing rules that publicly list relay domains,” Apple says.
The company did not announce a specific date for the change, saying only that the new domain will be available “at the end of this summer”.
