
After a limited launch in the US, the Samsung Galaxy XR is officially coming to the UK, with pre-orders opening today.
The first Android XR headset wasn’t a huge success, but it received a number of updates to enhance the experience as a standalone experience or as a bridge to Windows PC and hopefully MacOS in the future.
No changes have been made to the hardware; this is the same unit that shipped in the US earlier this year. The specs are the same, including a Snapdragon XR+ Gen 2 chip, a 4K micro-OLED display, up to 2.5 hours of battery life, and a variety of customized experiences using the Android XR platform.
While we wait for news on the next Samsung AR product launch, it will be a connected experience It’s priced at £1,699 and will ship from 8 July 2026. Samsung UK is holding a series of hands-on events for fans to get a taste of the Galaxy XR headphones in Manchester, Westfield London, Westfield Stratford and the flagship Samsung KX store.
