“Sugar” season 2 premiere is now available to stream on Apple TV

John Sugar is back on Apple TV

More than two years after the first season finale, Sugar It’s back on Apple TV tonight for season 2.

Starring Colin Farrell (Penguin) in the titular role of private detective John Sugar, the show’s eight-episode second season will run weekly through August 7.

In addition to Farrell, the show’s second season stars Laura Donnelly (A wolf in the night), Tony Dalton (Better yet, call Saul), Jin Ha (Civil war), Raymond Lee (Top Gun: Maverick), among others. Shea Whigham (American Hustle) is also intended for special appearance.

“Sugar” is a modern, unique piece of private detective story, one of the most popular and important genres in the history of literature, cinema and television. The second season marks the return of famed Los Angeles private detective and film connoisseur John Sugar, played by Farrell, who searches for the older brother of an up-and-coming local boxer, who remains on Earth in hopes of finding his sister in a new missing persons case. As the investigation expands into a sinister, city-wide conspiracy, Sugar must reckon with herself to answer the question – how far will she go to do what’s right?
