I’m going to come out and say it clearly: this is a backpack. In the grand scheme of tech journalism, it feels kind of silly to devote an entire review to a textile case system for my laptop. Or at least it should be.
But if you’re going to drop over $100 on a laptop bag, it can’t hurt to do some actual research. My immediate reaction when I first saw Razer’s updated Rogue lineup was: “Why would I spend over $100 on a backpack if the $30 off-brand bag I bought from Amazon two years ago still works perfectly fine?”
Still, in a way that only Razer can consistently pull off with its ecosystem of accessories, I suddenly get it. Just like what happened to them the humble USB-C dockAnother product category that I used to care nothing about, now I care a lot about a simple backpack.
Razer Rogue V4 Backpack: Price, availability and features
The Razer Rogue Backpack V4 line was officially released on June 4, 2026 and Razer Official Storeand also available Amazon. The Rogue V4 comes in two sizes with different pricing depending on your needs.
- Razer Rogue 16” Backpack V4: Retails for $109.99 / £109.99.
- Razer Rogue 18” Backpack V4: Retails for $139.99 / £139.99.
Choosing between them results in a quick estimate of your daily load. The 16-inch variant is nicely compact and perfectly suited for medium-sized setups like the Razer Blade 16.
However, if you’re building an absolute desktop replacement sculpt like the Razer Blade 18, or just traveling heavily with massive mechanical keyboards and full-sized audio rigs, you’ll definitely want to step up to the 18” version for that maximum volume capacity.

Razer Rogue V4 Backpack: What’s Good
Despite my high doubts that a premium backpack would impress me after years of relying on Amazon’s specials, I found myself thoroughly impressed with this Razer number.
And no, it’s not just because it looks great, but I have to say that the clean matte-black finish, subtle leather-effect accents, and iconic Razer green stitching look incredibly sharp.
When you first open this bag, it immediately feels a hell of a lot more intensively processed than a cheap import. The shoulder straps are heavily reinforced and densely padded. During especially chaotic weeks, my daily haul grows aggressively. I can carry anything from my standard everyday laptop both of them my personal and work laptops at the same time ROG Ally, Kindle, full size gaming headsetand all the mandatory cable equipment required to keep them alive.

My normal shopping bag regularly leaves me with sore, sore shoulders under this kind of load because the straps lack substance. The Rogue V4, on the other hand, features wide, ergonomically designed padded straps paired with a highly ventilated mesh back panel that nicely distributes the dense weight.
There’s also a really neat velcro strip on the front of the bag for attaching badges. My partner has an Xbox jacket that’s too big for him, it’s got some crappy gaming icons on it, and I’m about to raid.
Razer Rogue V4 Backpack: What a bummer
While scrutinizing what I was missing from my old, cheap but reliable backpack, my initial criticism was that the Rogue V4 doesn’t have an external charging cutout to conveniently route the power bank cable to my phone. Unfortunately, as it turns out, while studying the specifications, I found that Razer really is did think about it. The backpack features fully integrated, hidden cable routing that routes charging cables from the inside out without leaving your main compartments exposed. Just buried so Deep into the bag’s complex pocket ecosystem, I learned that it managed to elude my first glances (I eventually found it). Just goes to show exactly how many damn pockets, nooks and crannies this thing has.
Other than that, the only real negative here is the price tag. Horse 110-140 dollarsit’s actually a significant investment for an accessory that doesn’t have a processor inside. However, that high price is undeniably reflected in the build quality, heavy-duty zipper tape, and longevity of the material you’ll be getting. If you’re a die-hard Razer fan, the Razer tax is a familiar trade-off.
Razer Rogue V4 Backpack: The Competition
Almost every major PC manufacturer produces a dedicated line of laptop backpacks to accompany them gaming laptopsthough few can carry the same streetwear aesthetic appeal as the Razer. If you want to keep your accessories strictly brand-name, here are a few other options on the same ballpark budget.
It just floats around $95-$120 mark depending on active sales, Legion 16″ Armored Lenovo’s ultimate protective shield. It features an aggressive, weather-resistant EVA-molded frontal armor shell and an ultra-rugged base. It offers excellent structural protection against accidental drops, though its tough, hard-shell design feels more utilitarian and bulky than the Rogue V4.
The next one ASUS’ giant 35-liter ROG Ranger alternative designed for larger 18-inch rigs. It uses an incredibly tough 1260D high-density polyester fabric and excels in raw storage volume, but lacks the eye-catching looks of the Rogue V4.
Finally, we have At $129.99, Alienware’s 18-game backpack sits in a premium spot; it’s Dell’s heavyweight champion built expressly for large 18-inch desktop replacements. Inside, it features a 360-degree EVA foam pad and a soft, scratch-resistant Nylex lining to keep your chassis perfectly clean.

Razer Rogue V4 Backpack: Final Verdict
Razer has effectively treated the basic textile backpack with the same premium material selection and aesthetic precision they apply to their flagship laptops. They did the impossible: they made me really interested in a piece of luggage. It’s a dream bag for the hard-pressed and meticulously organized. After all, if you’ve spent hundreds on your technology, what’s another $100 to deploy them? Consider me a bargain basement convert!
It’s not just a backpack, it’s a Razer backpack, wouldn’t you know it.
While it definitely commands a hefty price tag, the bag’s ultra-rugged, waterproof outer fabric, seamless compartments within compartments, and ability to absorb the shock of a heavy-duty laptop make it an incredibly stylish carry-on.
