The Marvel Midnight Universe Begins Suddenly


Last month, Marvel announced the Midnight universeit will make the classic characters more terrifying. Ahead of September’s prompts, the publisher has shared the full covers of the three books, revealing a big change: they’ll all be released on October 7th.

The line begins with the previously announced year Midnight X-Men From Jonathan Hickman and Matteo Della Fonte, Benjamin Percy and Kev Walker Fantastic four at midnight, and Midnight Spider-Man By Phillip Kennedy Johnson and ScieTronc. All three of them involve different types of horror – the X-Men the book is about vampires vs. mutants, Fantastic Four Belongs to Lovecraftian cosmic horror and Spider man It will take Peter Parker on a body-horror journey as a human/spider hybrid battling Oscorp.

With the Ultimate universe now (or close to) wrapped up, Marvel is watching Midnight Be his great new AU. To that end, this trio of books isn’t just being released at the same time, they’re the only new singles from the publisher on the same day. In it announcementMarvel called it “an impressive and rare move that reflects the project’s unique scale and potential to capture readers.” Through these comics, it is hoped that the Midnight universe can bring readers to a “terrible new world where anything can happen”.

We’ll see when that works out Midnight X-Men, Midnight Spider-Man, and Midnight Fantastic all hit shelves on Wednesday, October 7.
