Microsoft Outlook There is a peculiar bug that deletes content from a previous conversation when replying to or forwarding an email for Mac. Microsoft has confirmed the issue, but a fix has not been shipped yet.

Normally, replying to or forwarding email through Outlook includes the entire original message. This input makes it easier for the sender to frame their message and for the receiver to have the context of the conversation. But the wrong behavior in Outlook deletes the previous conversation and leaves only the new message.
The problem only occurs in older versions of Outlook for Mac. The legacy Outlook, a native application that has existed in some form for decades, will be retired in October. After the shutdown, older Outlook for Mac will receive security updates, but will no longer work with Exchange Online mailboxes.

On the Windows side of things, Microsoft’s switch to a web app like its main Outlook has been controversial. But the new Outlook for macOS is a native application, creating the odd situation where Outlook is better on macOS than Windows.
Problems with Microsoft Outlook are nothing new. When Artemis II commander Wiseman, the problems even went beyond planet Earth unable to check email in space. But the unwanted behavior is still annoying.
“This is an extremely frustrating bug in this latest update and I hope a fix is on the way,” user Stephan said in response to the original thread. They added, “Frankly, it’s very disappointing that something as big as this has completely escaped the software testing process.”
When investigating a problem with Microsoft’s legacy Outlook for Mac, you have two options. You can either migrate to the new Outlook (Official recommendation from Microsoft) or roll back to version 16.109 of older Outlook for Mac.
