Anthropic’s Claude Fable 5 AI model was released to the public on June 9th and canceled on June 12th. By my math, it had been around for a little over three days. When Anthropic canceled Fable 5, Legion said it “immediately lost the latest tool at the heart of its development,” again causing “immediate, irreparable, and present” damage, according to Bloomberg. Bloomberg notes that the Legion’s staff includes Canadian citizens based in Canada.
The Fable 5 model, the most advanced, consumer-grade version of Claude, was part of the same class as the Claude Mythos Preview model, which Anthropic said was the same. it is too dangerous to disclose to the public.
