One of the biggest new games this year Microsoft and Xbox does Halo: The campaign has evolved — A full-fledged remake of the first game from 2001, Halo: Combat Evolved features new gameplay additions, expanded replayability, and a graphical makeover powered by Unreal Engine 5.

Note that if you purchase the Premium Edition, you can use it on July 23, five days earlier; I imagine this encouraged many players to pre-order and led to this the game is climbing the Steam sales chart.
Now that Hello remake is over a month away from its full launch, one thing PC gamers in particular want to know is what the game’s system requirements and recommended specs are.
Thankfully, they have now been announced by Xbox and the developer Halo Studiosand for your convenience I have included them in the image and table below:

Overall, Halo: Campaign Evolved’s CPU, GPU, and VRAM requirements aren’t bad for an Unreal Engine 5 title that aims to deliver maximum visual fidelity. Aiming for 1440p / 4K resolution at 60 FPS and Medium or High settings can be done with five to six year old hardware, which is probably what many gaming rigs are equipped with.
The memory and storage requirements are a bit stricter, though. For lower quality levels at 1080p and 1440p, it’s fine to ask for 16GB of memory – that’s what most gamers have – but if you’re looking to go higher, the 32GB requirement is a bit underwhelming, especially ongoing RAM crisis.
Campaign Evolved also requires 100GB of SSD space, which is more than enough for a campaign-only FPS game. If your gaming hard drive doesn’t have triple-digit room, you’ll need to delete a game or two.
It should be noted that it is not clear whether these requirements are determined with or without performance-enhancing technologies. Super Resolution and Creating a Framework factor we what do However, we do know that Campaign Evolved supports their use alongside NVIDIA Reflex and other anti-lag tools. These will make it easier to take advantage of the game’s uncapped framerate.
Finally, aside from the 100GB claim? I’d say the Halo remake is pretty well optimized and should run well on most PCs selected at optimal settings. I can’t say for sure until the game is over.
