The simplicity of the Fitbit Air encourages some neat ideas for how to use it, including pairing it with a traditional watch. Some Fitbit Air buyers take this idea and drill holes in their watchbands to accommodate the tracker, but there’s probably a better way.
Shortly after the Fitbit Air launched, we covered how some were using the tracker’s strap alongside a traditional watch, similar to how the NATO strap works. It’s also a great companion for your Pebble smartwatch.
But it’s at least a little difficult, and someone had to find a better way.
Apparently, one of those methods is to literally cut a hole out of a traditional watch band to hold the Fitbit Air. This is what several users have done and demonstrated on Reddit, With GShock see also Seiko 5. By cutting a Fitbit Air-sized hole in the strap, you can keep the watch in place when you wear it.




It works, but it’s far from elegant.
This led us down a rabbit hole, only to find that there are more polished solutions out there. There are some adapters appeared Amazon To put the Fitbit Air on a watch band, however, a little 3D printing solution might be best. Like some users have showna small attachment keeps the Fitbit Air in place on your watchband, and it’s relatively slim-looking from the outside.

Of course, it’s not as low-profile as cutting a hole in your watch band. The idea there is great, and it’s inevitable that generic watchbands with Fitbit Air cutouts will start appearing on the market sooner rather than later.
Google can be thanked for how quickly these accessories appeared on the market and how cheap they are. Not long after air release, Google introduced the plan for the tracker, allowing anyone to create accessories that perfectly fit Fitbit Air without any guesswork.
