I’ve used many mobile game controllers over the past three years, and GameSir’s products have consistently stood out for their build quality, performance, and reliability. The GameSir G8+ it’s the best and just a pleasure to use.
I played dozens of hours of gaming on the G8+ and GameSir introduced a new model called the G8 Plus MFi. The main difference between the two is that the G8 Plus relies on Bluetooth, while the G8 Plus MFi has a USB-C connection. GameSir really should have done a better job of naming these controllers, because it seems to anyone looking at the models that the G8+ MFi also has Bluetooth.
Having said that, the G8 Plus MFi is awesome and I like that it works with iPhone and iPad mini as well as Android phones. The controller is normally priced at $79, but here it is now marked down to $63 on Amazon It’s a decent 20% discount on one of the best products in this category.
Recommended if: You need a great mobile controller with hall-effect joysticks and analog triggers. The G8 Plus MFi has excellent feedback, anti-slip and USB-C connectivity.
❌ Skip this contract if: You definitely need a Bluetooth connection or want to use it with Nintendo Switch/Switch 2. In that case just get the regular G8+ – otherwise it’s the same controller.
GameSir didn’t change the basics with the G8 Plus MFi, and that’s a good thing. It’s a mobile controller that’s incredibly comfortable to hold and use, and feels just like a regular Xbox controller. Full-sized joysticks, buttons and triggers make a difference in this area, and you get a satisfying hum from the internal motors.
The Hall-effect joysticks ensure there is no stick slip, and this has never been a problem with any GameSir controller I’ve used in the last three years. Analog triggers also use hall effect switches and have excellent feedback.

The G8 Plus MFi does two things better than the traditional G8+: it accommodates phones with huge camera islands. Find the X9 Ultra and Vivo X300 Ultra — and the bridge extends a little wider, so you can easily fit tablets like the iPad mini without any problems.
It doesn’t have Bluetooth, so you can only connect USB-C devices that use USB-C, like Android phones, the latest iPhones, and iPads. If you need a controller to use with the Switch or any other Bluetooth device, get the G8+.
Overall, if you need a reliable controller to play your favorite mobile games, the G8 Plus MFi 2026 is my recommendation. And It comes in at $63now is the best time to get this controller.
