Raspberry Pis were once the bastion of inexpensive hobby hardware, but then recent price increases, they don’t look is already so appropriate. It’s a shame, but some people have taken it upon themselves to report any price drops on the market so people don’t break the bank buying a Pi.
Unfortunately, such an asset seems to be closing down very soon, as websites begin to close their doors to price-checking bots. While you can still get some use out of it, it won’t be long before finding a good deal on Raspberry Pis becomes a bit more difficult.

As seen Hackadaythe RPI Locator website is closing its doors in July. If you haven’t used it before, the RPI Locator provides the community with live prices from hobby shops around the world. If you ever want to buy a specific Pi board, you can filter the selection by country and model using the drop-down menus at the top of the website. You will then be presented with a list of each approved store, their prices for your custom board, and whether they currently have it in stock.
Here it is folks. I will be decommissioning rpilocator.com in July. Most of the sites I follow have blocked my bot (knowingly or unknowingly) and I don’t have time to contact all the sellers to address it. Unfortunately, as confirmed by the owner of the site Blueskyit turns out that the bot they use to scrape price data is blocked by sellers. The owner says they have tried many different solutions but after a while they stop working. So they don’t have the time or patience to contact everyone to ask them to give them access to the bot, so unfortunately they will be shutting down the site in July.
You have a few days to go to the website and find some cheap hardware, but don’t get too used to it. The website will be completely down anytime after July 1st.
