Blue Origin Joins Race for Orbital Data Centers with Plan for 51K Satellites



Not to be outdone by SpaceX, Blue Origin unveiled its plans to launch data centers in orbit using a constellation of 51,600 satellites.

Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin plans to challenge SpaceX in the nascent race to build data centers not only on rockets, but also in orbit.

Thursday, Blue Origin given Plans for Project Sunrise, the company’s own effort to manage space-based data centers with the Federal Communications Commission.
