Google is now trying to change the color accents in the account switcher. This colorful ring of red, yellow, green and blue is currently displayed around your profile picture in the account switcher if you’re a Google One or AI Pro/Ultra subscriber.
Instead of a segmented ring, Google is currently testing a blue halo with a subtle gradient that resembles the Gemini icon. we saw a reference RING_TYPE_G1_PREMIUM_AURA As you can see in the code of the Google apps and probably in the images below, it belongs to this new version that we can see.
However, this change is currently not active, but when it is, we expect it to be consistent across all Google apps. It is likely that Google will continue to use the existing “Aura” ring for Google One subscribers, while introducing a blue one for Google AI subscribers. But we have to wait for the change to be officially rolled out.
