Following Lenovo’s Legion Tab, Redmagic has confirmed that its next compact Android gaming tablet will go global with the Astra 2.
Lenovo’s Legion Tab introduced a new form factor that’s quite popular for Android gaming, with smaller displays measuring around 8-9 inches, but using the flagship chips under the hood without sacrificing performance. But as good as the Legion Tab series is, last year’s use of an OLED display, inclusion of secure biometrics, etc. thanks to the alternative Redmagic Astra impressed us.
There is a sequel to this.
Redmagic has been testing the “Gaming Tablet 5 Pro” for the past few months and its launch is imminent. But this version of the tablet was always going to be a China-only affair.
a Write on Twitter/XRedmagic confirms that its next compact gaming tablet will be heading to the rest of the “world” as the Redmagic Astra 2.

No word on price or release date here, but we do know Redmagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro will be released on June 30. The tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, has liquid cooling and becomes an absolute powerhouse across the board.
