Just when you think of every piece grapes Star Wars memorabilia there was saw the light of dayhere comes an auction featuring a set of photographs unseen by outsiders for decades. Propstore presents a two-part collection of behind-the-scenes photos Return of the Jedi by visual effects artist Stuart Ziff as part of the upcoming Spring Fun Commemorative Live Auction.
In total, there are over 500 unpublished photos from the set of the 1983 film, though Propstore shares what it calls “The Stuart Ziff Collection”: Star Wars” is divided into three lots. The first contains more than 300 images and negatives from the film “Redwoods River Shoot” and is estimated to fetch $3,000-$6,000. Here are a few examples coded Endor.
Then there are more than 150 images from the Yuma and Elstree Studios Shoot, as well as negatives, which will fetch between $1,500 and $3,000. You can see one of them below, Harrison Ford in his Han Solo costume posing with a visitor to the set.
Finally, you can also bid on Ziff Revenge of the Jedi (note the original title) Continuity breakdown associated with manuscript annotations estimated to sell for $1,500-$3,000.
“I never thought of creating a collection like this,” Ziff said in a press release. “I was part of the team and these photos were moments I felt were worth capturing at the time. They capture what it was really like to be there, behind the scenes, during an extraordinary production, and I’m delighted that more fans will now have the chance to see them at the Propstore auction.”
