The autonomous car hype is back, and Humble Robotics is bringing it in droves

The autonomous car space is starting to feel like a repeat of the 2016 hype cycle. It’s Travis Kalanick Back builds a robotics companyand the wars for talent and capital are heating up like never before. Money flows back and it’s the people who experience the first wave that build the next wave.

Humble Robots founder and CEO Eyal Cohen is one of them. Cohen was at Otto when Uber came calling, then followed Anthony Levandowski to Pronto, and after two decades of bouncing between deep tech bets in the Bay Area, his new company emerged from stealth in April to build a fully autonomous, wireless electric carrier.

Cohen joins Kirsten Korosec on this episode of TechCrunch Capital A podcast to talk about AV deja vu and what he’s learned from 15 years of building startups in electrification, solar and robotics.
