
Apple continues to add support for new car key brands with recent additions like Wallet Toyota and Porsche. Now, another popular automaker is reportedly about to get the car keys: Volkswagen.

Ahead of Apple Wallet, which brings car key support to the new automaker, Apple is updating its servers with code it plans to add.
This is how we’ve learned about several new car key brands in the past. For example, Toyota was added Apple’s car key to the backend list of car manufacturers about two months before support officially began.

According to their report, Volkswagen (VW) is now on the list of companies that support (or will soon do so) the Apple Wallet car key feature.
Unfortunately, there is no word yet on the specific cars that will earn car keys. What we often see with car manufacturers is that car keys are released slowly to only one or two cars at first.
We also don’t know when VW will officially launch Apple car keys. It could be in the next few weeks or potentially not for a few months.
