Nearly six years after the game was first announced in the summer of 2020, fans will finally get their hands on the long-awaited survival horror shooter on Xbox and PC. Decay state 3 for the first time. Sequel to Undead Labs’ 2018 release Decay state 2 is kept almost entirely secret, but that is finally changing.
Next month, Xbox and Undead Labs will host an alpha playtest for the game, with plans for additional and expanded playtests later this year. This news was announced by Brant Fitzgerald, the creator of the series new videowhile also explaining that State of Decay 3 is built around the feedback received on the second game.

Signups for the State of Decay 3 alpha are now live playtest.stateofdecay.comso if you’re interested in playing the game before its unannounced release date (it doesn’t even have a release window right now), make sure you sign up. When the playtest arrives in May, you’ll likely know if you’re in by receiving an email with instructions on how to play.
Don’t worry if you don’t get into the pretest; Fitzgerald says Undead Labs will “keep your name on the list and there will be plenty of opportunities for you throughout the year.” Presumably, each new playtest will expand its scope and include more gameplay elements and features for fans to try out.
The wait for this game was too long A state of decay fans, especially since we haven’t heard from them in nearly six years State of Decay 2 will stop receiving updates at the end of 2024. With that in mind, it’s great that players are finally getting their chance actually playingalthough a full release still seems a long way off.
We have no idea when we will get a release date for State of Decay 3 We know it’s “too good to come” hopefully one will arrive during this year’s Xbox Games Showcase in the summer. The game will be available to play whenever it comes out Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC as well Xbox Game Pass.
