Paranormal Activity
I was lucky enough (and old enough) to see a preview of the movie that started. found footage horror A phenomenon in theaters in 1999The Blair Witch Project. No one knew what they were looking at, and the marketing was so good that people actually believed it was real, which made it terrifying. But eight years later Paranormal Activity would spark a complete renaissance of the found-footage genre, but in a more modest and seemingly safer setting than the haunted forest—a normal, clean, and well-lit suburban home. If horror can take you there, they can take you anywhere.
Directed by Oren Peli for just $15,000, Paranormal Activity is the simple story of Micah and Katie, a young San Diego couple who move into a new house when strange things happen at night. Micha sets up a camera to capture everything that’s tormenting Katie—slamming doors, creepy things moving under the bed—but things take a turn for the worse. Paranormal Activity scared the hell out of audiences (even Steven Spielberg was reportedly terrified) and spawned a seven-film franchise, with an eighth on the way. All of the Paranormal Activity movies are streaming on Paramount+ right now, so grab some popcorn and a big pillow to hide behind and head on over.

To hurry
The epic rivalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda is underway
Before Apple TV F1 Movie writer Peter Morgan and director Ron Howard’s 2013 BAFTA-winning biopic drama about one of Formula One’s greatest rivalries of all time was considered (some still argue) the best F1 film of all time. It doesn’t matter, because any way you cut it, To hurry a must watch for racing fans. It tells the real-life story of the 1976 Formula 1 season and the intense championship battle between McLaren’s playboy Brit, James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) and Ferrari’s world champion, Austrian Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl).
When their rivalry leads to a tragic accident at the Nürburgring in Germany where Lauda suffers third-degree burns to his face and head, as well as his lungs, a guilt-ridden Hunt struggles to continue the season and realize his championship dream amidst his own personal problems. In a true display of his determination, Lauda miraculously returned to the track at the end of the season. To hurry is an exploration of the very different lives of Hunt, who loves the glitz, glamour, womanizing and racing driver lifestyle, and Lauda, the more conservative family man. Olivia Wilde stars as Suzy Miller, Hunt’s charming wife, in this 89% fresh film. Formula 1 movie.
