
The Google app on Android provides convenient, continuous access to AI mode history for a more integrated experience.
On the home tab (Discovery ribbon), Google Labs replaced the glass with a button for the history of artificial intelligence mode, which recently switched from a circle to this lined version. Swipe to your recent conversations with AI mode to quickly return. This matches the Gemini app’s hamburger menu and further integrates AI mode into the overall Search experience.
Old and new


The AI mode homepage has also been tweaked so that the date icon appears on the left for consistency. The back button has been replaced by a lower chevron on the right.
Search Lab has been moved to the account menu as the first item under Settings. This allows you to view and join existing experiences, as well as exit previews.
This change was rolled out in the Google app for iOS from December. On iPhone, you can swipe to open. It becomes visible for registered users Google app beta On Android (version 17.9).
