As artificial intelligence becomes a major part of our workflows, hardware designers have stepped up to create laptops and PCs that can handle our demands. Microsoft has made it easy for hardware manufacturers to signal that their devices are AI-ready with the Copilot+ AI PC software. So, if someone wants to buy a laptop or computer that can run AI models natively, they just need to look out for the Copilot+ label.
Dell is no stranger to Copilot+ devices, and its latest announcement shows that it shows no signs of slowing down its AI-centric devices. The company has pulled back the curtain on the Dell Pro Max 16 for all your professional AI needs, and it features the latest Blackwell portable GPUs under the hood.
The Dell Pro Max 16 is the perfect choice for people who want AI on the go
And it will be released very soon
In the press release, Dell offers a glimpse of what it has planned for the near future. On March 24, 2026, the company will release the Dell Pro Max 16 in the US, and it has great hardware for the first laptop with artificial intelligence. It comes with a range of different hardware profiles, including up to 64GB of RAM, up to 2TB of SSD, and a 16-inch QHD+ 2,560 x 1,600 pixel 400 nits display.
However, its killer features are the processors. The CPU can only go up to the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 475, which was revealed last January. Meanwhile, the discrete GPU steps up to the Nvidia RTX Pro 1000 Blackwell mobile chip. It was announced only a year ago, and it’s already making its way into devices like the Dell Pro Max 16 as the latest professional mobile chip.
The laptop will go on sale a week after this post, so keep your eyes peeled for pricing and availability as we get closer to the release date.
Dell is also introducing a new Pro Precision range
Laptops or desktops, there’s something here for everyone
The company also introduced a new range of Dell Pro Precision computers. The company unveiled three new base models: Dell Pro Precision 5, Precision 7 and Precision 9. The first two models are notebooks available in 14-inch and 16-inch versions, and the last model is a desktop computer with three more variants: T2, T4 and T6. The idea is that the lower numbers are the more entry-level models and the higher numbers are the more luxurious models.
If you want the best of the best, you’ll be interested in the Dell Pro Precision 9 T6. This desktop PC comes with Intel Xeon 698X CPU, Nvidia RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition GPU, 4096GB RAM, 4TB SSD storage, 24TB HDD storage and up to 2400W PSU to power it all. Dell says the new Dell Pro Precision series, including laptops and desktops, will be released in May 2026.
