5 addictive Netflix movies that never get old no matter how many times I watch them

As someone who watches a ton of movies and TV shows, there are certain projects that I watch regularly. Even though I can repeat most of the dialogue and note what happens next, I never tire of it. In a way I am addicted to this mini series and movies. You can call them my healthy obsessions.

When watching movies on Netflix US, I see that some of the addictive movies I go back to often are now available to stream. My favorite movie on the list is one of my two favorite superhero movies of all time. Other films include a 1980s teen classic, a charming rom-com, an action thriller, and a heartwarming culinary comedy.

Non-stop action from start to finish

Chris Hemsworth hits the road in Extraction. Credit: Jasin Boland/Netflix

Chris Hemsworth built a successful acting career thanks to his time as Thor. Don’t get me wrong, Hemsworth was a fantastic Thor. However, I’m now looking forward to more of what Hemsworth will do outside of Marvel. Don’t take it out Proves to me that Hemsworth can lead an action franchise without wielding Mjölnir.

Tyler Rake (Hemsworth), a former special forces soldier turned mercenary, is hired to return the kidnapped son of an Indian drug lord. After the mission takes an unexpected turn, Tyler chooses to protect his son and get him to safety instead of freeing him. Next the action is definitely some of the best in any Netflix original movie. Don’t take it out it feels like a video game. As Tyler reaches each checkpoint, the stakes rise and so does the violence. You can learn a 12-minute one-stroke sequence and learn something new every time.

Prepare to be hungry

They say don’t watch the Food Network on an empty stomach because you’ll get hungry. Unfortunately, I have made this mistake countless times, knowing full well that I would never learn my lesson. The same sentiments can be applied ChefJon Favreau’s beloved dramedy revolving around the power of food.

After catching fire at a prestigious Los Angeles restaurant, chef Carl Casper (Jon Favreau) returns to basics by opening a food truck. Along with his friend (John Leguizamo) and his son (Emjay Anthony), Carl falls in love with cooking again as he travels from city to city creating dishes inspired by the local cuisine. It’s a cliché, but food really is love and Chef demonstrates why so many fall in love with cooking. i could do Check out the Cubano scene on repeat, Although I prefer to eat one instead.

.

When I’m feeling down and need something to cheer me up, I tend to throw in something off-putting to cheer me up. It’s usually a rom-com because I need a little romance mixed in with a few laughs to put a smile on my face. Fortunately for Netflix subscribers, rom-com queen Julia Roberts and her best film in the genre, Beautiful Womannow streaming.

The next day, Edward hires a week-old Vivian and witnesses her transformation into the woman of his fairytale dreams. There is definitely a love story in it Beautiful Womanbut it’s more of a story about a person’s self-discovery and self-worth. It’s comfort food in movie form, and the happy ending never gets old.

The breakfast club

don’t forget me

.

John Hughes is the master of the coming-of-age movie. His Teen movies of the 1980s remains one of the most impressive runs for a filmmaker. Most writers and directors would kill to have any of the following films by Hughes on their resume: Sixteen candles, The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Pretty in Pinkand Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. My favorite group The breakfast clubIt’s on Netflix.

In suburban Chicago, five high school students from diverse backgrounds are expected to participate in Saturday’s detention. The group includes cow Brian (Anthony Michael Hall); Andrew (Emilio Estevez), an athlete; Allison (Ally Sheedy), basket case; Claire (Molly Ringwald), the princess; and criminal Bender (Jud Nelson). The quintet enter as strangers, but as the day progresses, the group realizes they’re not so different. These conversations about anxiety and pressure never feel dated, so the film’s messages about teenage life resonate with every generation.

Spiderman 2

It changed the trajectory of comic book adaptations

.

I go back and forth The Dark Knight and Spiderman 2 when discussing the greatest superhero movie ever. Some days I side with Nolan and some days I support Raimi. How about a rewatch Spiderman 2 On Netflix and then decide for yourself?

Two years after the events Spider manPeter Parker (Tobey Maguire) tries to balance his personal life with his role as Spider-Man. With the latter, Dr. who becomes the villainous Doctor Octopus after a fusion experiment goes wrong and kills his wife. A new threat arises in Otto Octavius (Alfred Molina). To make matters worse, stress and doubt cause Peter’s powers to weaken. It should be like Peter’s obligations Spiderman in New York is it superior to the desire for a normal life? Of course, with great power comes great responsibility, and Raimi fully understands the Spider-Man mythology. After watching some of Marvel’s most recent missteps, it’s nice to return to Raimi’s fantastic game. Spider man continuation.
