Acer Swift Air 14, Swift Spin 14 AI: Intel AI chips



Acer has expanded its Swift laptop lineup with two new thin and light models: the Acer Swift Air 14 and the Acer Swift Spin 14 AI. Both run on Windows 11 and include dedicated NPUs, although they target different users and performance levels.

The Swift Air 14 is the lighter and more traditional of the two laptops, weighing in at 1.25kg and measuring up to 12.9mm thick. It features an aluminum chassis available in sage green, frost blue, floral pink and lilac purple, along with a 180-degree hinge that allows the screen to lie flat.

Inside, the laptop is powered by Intel’s new Core Series 3 processors, delivering up to 40 platform TOPS and up to 17 TOPs via a dedicated NPU. Acer claims that the fast-charging battery can provide up to 19 hours of use and reach 50% after 30 minutes of charging.

The Swift Air 14 comes with a 14-inch WUXGA display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 100% coverage of the sRGB color space. Its entertainment features include a four-speaker system with DTS Ultra spatial audio.

For video calling, the laptop includes Windows Hell facial recognition and a 1080p infrared camera with a physical privacy cover. Acer’s PurifiedVoice and PurifiedView tools provide AI-powered noise reduction and visual enhancements during calls.

Connectivity includes WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports and a USB-A port.

Acer Swift Spin 14 AI

The Swift Spin 14 AI brings a convertible design to the Swift family, using a 360-degree hinge that allows you to switch between laptop, presentation, display and tablet modes.

It can be configured with an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor offering up to 100 platform TOPS and up to 50 TOPS via a dedicated NPU. Additional AI processing performance also qualifies the Swift Spin 14 AI as a Copilot+ PC.

Acer claims that the laptop can provide up to 26 hours of battery life. Its aluminum chassis is finished in platinum silver and is MIL-STD-810H certified for added durability.

The 14-inch WUXGA IPS touchscreen has a 120Hz refresh rate and supports the optional Acer Active Stylus based on Wacom AES 2.0 technology. The stylus supports shading and 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity for handwritten notes, sketches and document annotation.

Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, two USB-A ports and HDMI 2.1. The laptop also supports charging up to 100W via DC input.

Security features include a 5-megapixel infrared camera, a fingerprint reader, a physical webcam, and Acer User Sensing. The latter uses human presence detection to determine when the user is approaching or moving away from the laptop.

Both models include a dedicated Kopilot switch and Acer’s collection of AI utilities via AcerSense and Acer Intelligence Space. These include Acer QR Capture, Acer AI Image Generator and Acer Video Speed ​​Controller.

Acer has yet to announce pricing, regional configurations or availability dates for the Swift Air 14 and Swift Spin 14 AI in the UAE or the wider Middle East.
