Apple is holding WWDC 26 in the shadow of Google I/O

  • However, we’re firmly setting our sights on Google’s I/O 2026 event tomorrow, May 19 at 1:00 PM ET, where Android XR, Android 17, and Gemini Intelligence will shine.

As if written in the script, apple has started sending out notifications for its next big event and it’s all about what’s next for its technology.

Today (May 18), Apple officially announced what’s next and if you guessed WWDC 2026, you’d be right. The company’s announcement comes with a brief preview schedule for the June 8-12 event. As always, Apple says this conference will bring together “developers from around the world to explore tools, frameworks and technologies” on their platforms.
