Apple will reportedly look at multiple signals to detect break-ins, including data from the iPhone’s accelerometer, connected Wi-Fi, location, and distance from a paired Apple Watch.
If you’re worried about your iPhone being stolen, Apple is reportedly working on a new feature that will automatically lock the device when it’s detected stolen. Although Apple has yet to confirm this feature, 9to5Mac reports References in the iOS code indicate that it is in active development.
