As every year, in September of this year, Apple will present a new generation Apple Watch model. Apple Watch Series 12 will likely carry the same design language as Apple Watch Series 11but with a few changes. Let’s go inside.
New chipset
Apple only releases a truly new chipset in the Apple Watch every 3 years. In 2020, there was the S6 chip based on the A13 Bionic and in 2023, the S9 chip based on the A16 Bionic. Sure, there are chips in between – but in terms of new CPU cores, the S9 was the latest update.
Now, with Series 12 – expect improved CPU cores. It’s likely they’ll be based on some 3nm design similar to the A19 chip – but we don’t know for sure.
Either way, if you’re someone who buys an Apple Watch and wants to keep it for a long time, the Series 12 might be worth it for the chipset alone.
Touch ID
There is a new rumor about the Apple Watch Series 12 Touch ID support. Originally discovered by Macworld through a code leakit now appears that this feature may not materialize.
A critical concern The fact that Touch ID could take away from extra battery capacity or health features has been the company’s main reason. Never say never, but it sounds like Touch ID for the Apple Watch Series 12 is unlikely.

Health properties
Rumors have lightly touched on the possibility of a full blood pressure monitor, expanded hypertension tracking, and blood glucose monitoring — though nothing concrete about the new health features coming to the Apple Watch this year.
Wrap it up
The Apple Watch Series 12 is expected to retain the same design language, screen sizes and overall aesthetics. Apple Watch Series 11. Of course, Apple can always introduce new colors – and there are always new software exclusives.
Although there are rumors, don’t expect anything particularly flashy.
