Audi’s 2027 Q4 e-tron update has more variety and powers your home

Audi presented the company mid term update It’s the Q4 e-tron for the 2027 model year, and if you like it, it’s now a more attractive option. Porsche Macan Electric compact EV formula, but willing to trade performance for comfort and value.

The improved SUV it’s still available in regular and coupe-like Sportback body styles, but now features a revised exterior that Audi claims is “more modern” between shorter overhangs, a wider stance and a color-matched forged grille. You’ll also find new light “signatures” for the front daytime running lights and more “dynamic” second-generation OLED taillights.

However, the technological improvements are the stars. A more efficient motor system now gives the Q4 Sportback e-tron performance trim a range of 368 miles in WLTP testing with an 83kWh battery (EPA estimates would be more conservative), and similar improvements across the line. It is also the first Audi model to provide bi-directional charging. You can power external devices or even your home, making it a better choice for camping trips and blackouts.

Charging is slightly quicker at 185kW (on quattro all-wheel drive models) compared to last year’s 175kW, but it’s still enough to charge from 10% to 80% in a relatively quick 27 minutes. The Sportback can travel 115 miles in 10 minutes.

The panoramic screen technology is part of the redesign

Audi claims an “all-new” interior for the 2027 Q4 e-tron, which both maintains the brand’s comfort focus and improves the technology inside.

In all configurations, a panoramic display combines an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster with a 12.8-inch infotainment panel, while an additional 12-inch front passenger display helps with apps and entertainment. An augmented reality (AR) head-up display is also an option.

Like other Volkswagen Group vehicles, you can expect revised software that includes a fresh assistant that’s more natural ChatGPT voice requests. Audi has yet to announce US pricing and availability 2027 Q4 e-tronbut the European details should give some clues as to what to expect.

Pricing for the electric SUV will start at €47,500 (about $55,678) for the rear-wheel-drive base model with a 63kWh battery, while its Sportback equivalent will start at €49,450 (about $57,964). Step up to the 82 kWh battery and you’ll pay €53,500 ($62,711) for the regular Q4 and €55,450 ($64,996) for the Sportback.

Going with all-wheel drive raises the respective prices to €55,900 ($65,524) and €59,000 ($69,163). Orders for European customers begin in May, with deliveries expected in the summer.

The evaluation makes the choice clear

It’s too early to tell how this will translate into an American release, but the 2026 Q4 e-tron starts at $50,600 and the Sportback starts at $59,000.

Given that the Porsche Macan Electric starts at $82,650, your decision remains simple: If you can forego the Porsche’s sportier prowess in favor of not only a longer range (the Macan gets “only” 315 miles) but a more competitive interior design, the Audi is the better bargain.
