For those not in the loop, Xbox Player Voice manages the feedback forum has been allowing fans to vote on what they want to see from Xbox for a while now.
My colleague Jez Corden has done a fantastic job covering the most requested features in the community and the possibility of them happening, instead of praying to the stars, I’m here because the most requested game on the Xbox Player Voice feedback forum—and wow, a mouthful— None other than Banjo-Kazooie.
Yes, Banjo-Kazooie, a forgotten franchise, or at least one forgotten by Xbox anyway. Now, I myself believe to this day that Banjo-Kazooie could have been as pivotal a figure as Master Chief in terms of the Xbox-related franchise, but unfortunately, the series never got much love after Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.
Now on to the feedback forum. After going through the list of requests, Banjo’s return is in the top 50 requests overall, but as far as I can tell it beats all other game related requests on the forum.
Next closest game request after banjo just wanting to bring Halo Wars 2 to Steamit’s yet another great screamer, and honestly, it’s a crime that it never happened because it feels like free money sitting there for Halo Studios.
Although Banjo-Kazooie is seemingly the most requested franchise revival, I want to extend the question to you instead. Which franchise, whether forgotten or seemingly on its last legs, would you like to get more love?
Personally, I think back Xbox 360 day with games like Kameo, Viva Piñata, Blue Dragon and Crackdown. Even further back I think of Blinx and of course Perfect Dark, but that’s just me.
