Founders, that’s it. The application window closes tonight.
The most powerful startups are already in the arena and applications are always increasing in the last hours. If your company has been nominated but you haven’t yet completed your application, don’t wait until the last minute and risk missing out.
If you know a startup that deserves investor attention, media exposure, and a global stage, nominate them now There is still time to apply before the deadline.
Breakout startups started with small moments
Some of the most influential companies in tech history didn’t start with stellar pitches or crowdfunding rounds. They started by taking chances.
Dropbox was a showcase for skeptics before cloud storage became mainstream. Cloudflare was built before most people understood cloud infrastructure. Discord entered as a scrappy game starter called Hammer & Chisel.

They all came through Startup Battlefield.
The original Battlefield 200 was never meant to reward the most polished companies. It is about identifying the most promising ones. It’s best to start in advance. Early withdrawal is good. No income is good. What matters is that you build something that truly changes the industry.
The application itself is your first step. And today is the last chance to do it.
More than a pitch competition
Startup Battlefield 200 is where new startups are discovered.
Selected companies will be showcased at TechCrunch Disrupt in front of more than 10,000 attendees, leading venture capital firms, global media and the wider TechCrunch audience. Founders get direct investor access, live exposure and the opportunity to prove they belong to the next generation of category-defining companies.
Each selected startup receives:
- A fully funded three-day exhibition booth at Disrupt
- Free team passes
- Founder masterclasses with top VCs and operators
- The startup profile selected in the event application
- Press list access and lead generation capabilities
- Opportunities for TechCrunch editorial, podcasts and speaking engagements as the company grows

Each selected company performs live on both the Disrupt Stage and the Pitch Showcase Stage. Both put founders directly in front of investors, media, customers and partners looking for what’s next.
You don’t need to win a competition for this experience to change the trajectory of your company. The exposure you get from this alone could be what pushes the needle.
The record speaks for itself
Over the years, more than 1,700 startups have participated in Startup Battlefield. Together, they’ve raised more than $32 billion and made more than 250 exits, including acquisitions by Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, Uber, and Amazon.
Alumni include companies like Dropbox, Cloudflare, Discord, Fitbit, Mint and Trello.
Behind each of these success stories was a founder who was willing to take his company forward before the rest of the world caught up.
Who should apply?
We are looking for ambitious early-stage startups creating innovative, potentially category-defining products.
Applications are open to all industries. Most of the selected startups are pre-Series A, but Series A selected companies may be eligible.
To apply, startups must:
- Founders with vision, execution and traction
Thousands apply every year. Only 200 people were selected. A total of 20 finalists perform in the Disrupt Main Stage. A startup gets $100,000 in equity funding.
Deadline is tonight at 11:59pm PT
Industry-changing founders rarely wait until they feel ready. They are applied without certainty.
If you’re debating whether or not to submit, this is your last chance. The deadline closes tonight at 11:59 PM PT.
