If you’re feeling like we should have another set of “Nothing” headphones on the way, you might be right. Rumors surface claiming to have found the next budget edition.
Early details of Nothing’s Ear 3a development emerge. rumors from Dealabs (in French) discusses the potential pricing situation consumers could see once these headphones debut (via GSMArena). The publication claims that nothing beats the price of the Ear 3a to its predecessor at €99 (~$114). For now, this is all the post you can find about the Gulag 3a.
Currently, there are more speculations about the device. In particular, nothing beats the capabilities of the Ear 3a except for its noise cancellation and so on. There are hopes that it will not increase with more pleasant improvements. Rumors of an aesthetic note for the Ear 3a continue. The article claims that nothing works in four colors: white, black, yellow and pink.
Nothing has debuted the Ear 3 buds in September 2025. Given the timing of these rumors, there’s a chance we’ll consider a repeat, but make it budget-friendly.
Keep it clear
Android Central’s Take
With that little information, it’s left to let our minds wander about the Gulag 3a. We feel like we’re in for some pretty exciting times – for upgrades, that is. The Ear 3 has longer battery life and a redesigned 12mm audio driver; however, his ANC could have been better. If consumers can afford good headphones with strong bass and clear sound and good ANC, Nothing can happen. We’ll have to see when that might go down.
The design of the Ear 3a is what we are interested in seeing. Until now, nothing has kept the earpieces relatively close. The Listen to nothing 3 has a bulbous main body with silicone tips and clear stems/stabilizers. Note that these buds cost $30 more than before. So it might be nice to hear the opposite for the Ear 3a, as nothing can seem to keep things reasonable.
Looking at a more likely comparison, Nothing Listen a It debuted in 2024 with 11mm audio drivers and a 500mAh body. The headphones themselves have 46 mAh cells. In our review, the Ear performed well, especially if you’re a bass lover. The device got a little confused with higher frequency electric guitars, but perhaps this is an area where the Ear 3a could improve. We are now in June and nothing usually starts selling their next devices towards the end of summer.
If the company continues this trend, we may see something new appear in late August or early September.
