The Controller for HomeKit app has been updated with a new AI feature that the developer promoted with the phrase “just say”.
The idea is that you use natural language to describe what you want to happen and the AI will automatically generate what is required HomeKit staging, workflow and/or automation…
The website says that all you need to do is describe what’s happening and the app will do the rest.
Just say it. Describe what should happen. The controller builds the rest.
Three examples are given.
Wake me up at 6:45 a.m. on weekdays with a slowly warming light and raise the bedroom shades when I get up.
Movie night: dim the living room lights to 20% and close the curtains.
If someone comes home after midnight, just turn the hallway light down to 15%.
You can see how this first command translates into HomeKit commands here.

It’s a really bad time for me to try this because I’ve literally just moved house and only two smart lights and one smart plug are used so far! However, I simply asked the app to turn on the bedroom fan when I turned off the living room lights, and it created a perfect automation for that.
I’ll do a full review once I’ve fully configured my new smart home, but in the meantime, share your thoughts in the comments if you’ve tried it.
Controller for HomeKit is a subscription program that costs $40 per year for the Essentials tier and $80 per year for Plus. A seven-day free trial is available.
