Apple debuted iPhone 16e last year at the $599 price point — and it’s been a good phone ever since. This year the A19 has been updated with a chipset, more memory and MagSafe, but for the most part its position in the market hasn’t really changed. Great phone for the price.
It sold decently, but it didn’t really appeal to Android users to the same extent. MacBook Neo It has been for PC users. I think that may change.
There was something magical about it MacBook Neo was launched earlier this year with never felt iPhone 16e launch a year ago. As I said earlier, iPhone 16e It is a good phone for the price. In contrast, the MacBook Neo is a good laptop at a great price.
MacBook Neo It defied expectations of what Apple could do, while the iPhone 16e/17e were exactly what you’d expect from Apple. They’re not killer value, just cheaper iPhones.
If Apple really wanted to enter the Android market, I think they could have done something more radical – and Directed by John Ternus can give us exactly that.
A cheaper iPhone
instead of taking a piecemeal approach like iPhone 16eI think the iPhone 18e (or maybe it could be positioned as the iPhone Neo) could be built from the ground up to be a cheaper iPhone. MacBook Neo.
Perhaps instead of using the old OLED display, it could use an LCD panel to save costs. It might have Face ID instead of Touch ID and maybe a 12MP camera instead of 48MP. It might even have a smaller 5.8-inch display to appeal to smaller phone fans. Instead of the A20 chip, it may have less, perhaps the A18.
I think Apple will still want to keep the aluminum and glass construction, but either way – I think if Apple can figure out how to package a phone at that magical $399 price point, it could convince a lot of Android users to make the switch, especially in markets with a weak economy. In the US, the price of the device doesn’t really matter because most people finance it with some sort of carrier contract – but in many places, iPhones are simply too expensive.
I don’t think this device will likely replace the iPhone 18e. It could probably sit under it and both devices would still have an open market. Even so, I think it would be pretty interesting if Apple took it up MacBook Neo-Like swing in the Android market, like in the PC market.
