EA Announces 2048 Player FC Pro Mobile Qualifier for Middle East and North Africa

EA has announced the EA Sports FC Pro Mobile MEA Qualifier, a special online competition that gives EA Sports FC Mobile players across MENA access to the game’s new global esports circuit.

Registration will open on July 7, with tournament matches scheduled for July 11 and 12. The qualifier will accept up to 2048 players and will be held online. Battlefy.

Participants will be divided into two brackets of 1024 players each. Both brackets will follow a single-elimination format, with individual matchups contested as best-of-three series.

The winner of each bracket will qualify for the PC Pro Mobile Mid-Season Playoffs, meaning two players from the region will advance to the first international event of the circuit.

A special way for MENA players

The MEA Qualifier forms part of EA Sports FC Pro Mobile, the official competition scheme for EA Sports FC Mobile. The program provides a more structured pathway between local, regional and global competitions, culminating in the first ever FC Pro Mobile World Championship.

EA says this round represents its biggest investment in mobile sports to date, with a combined prize pool of $350,000 across the Mid-Season Playoffs and World Championship.

“By bringing FC Pro’s elite structure to a mobile platform for the first time, we are evolving the EA Sports FC Mobile competition beyond stand-alone events into a comprehensive and accessible global ecosystem,” said Monica Dinsmore, Head of Esports at EA.

The competition will use the mobile game’s one-on-one format, requiring players to create their squads and lead them through fast-paced matches. EA also plans to build a more diverse team throughout the season and introduce rules and formats to encourage tactical approaches.

In addition to the MEA Qualifier, the circuit includes global and regional competitions covering Southeast Asia, Europe, the Americas and Oceania. A separate SEA Qualifier will also provide a special route for players in the APAC South region.

Road to the Mid-Season Playoffs

The Mid-Season Playoffs will take place in the summer of 2026 and will consist of 24 players who have qualified in the circuit’s various regional, global and partner tournaments.

Competitors will initially participate in the group stage and advance to the individual qualifiers. A total of $100,000 will be awarded during the event, crowning the first international champion of the FC Pro Mobile circuit.

Players who fail to qualify in the preliminary tournaments will get another chance through the second group of Global Qualifiers scheduled for August.

EA also intends to work with established football leagues and federations in partner competitions. Players from participating countries will be able to represent teams affiliated with these organizations in both console and mobile competitions, although further details have yet to be announced.

The World Championship is scheduled for October

The season will conclude with the inaugural FC Pro Mobile World Championship in October 2026.

The four-day tournament will bring together 32 of the world’s best FC Mobile players to compete for $250,000 and the title of the first ever FC Pro Mobile World Champion.

EA is also working with publishers including Nexon, Tencent and Garena to support regional competitions in markets such as South Korea, China and Vietnam. These partnerships are expected to provide local language broadcasts, marketing and tournament infrastructure for players and spectators in those regions.

Registration for the FC Pro Mobile MEA Qualifier opens on July 7, before the online competition begins on July 11.
