One of the strongest evergreen projects in Microsoft’s Xbox Game Studios portfolio Fallout 76popular multiplayer MMO-lite RPG Bethesda It has been active since 2018 and maintains a healthy community of players XboxPC and until now PlayStation.
Appalachia-centric over the years Fallout the title has received more than 60 free content updates, each bringing new stories, quests, locations, enemies, gear and more to the game – and recently Bethesda unveiled Infestations 68. News that the next-gen version of the RPG will begin public testing in June.
To celebrate, the studio has released a new trailer for the Infestations update Xbox Games Expo It primarily consists of a post-patch theme song paired with a nice rubber hose-type animation that matches Fallout’s typical marketing style. It’s a fun watch; you can check below.
The Infestations update itself brings a large number of intense combat encounters to the many different locations of Appalachia, where players are encouraged to team up with each other in these open-world events and cut down hordes of everything from Super Mutants and raiders to rogue military robots and deadly wildlife roaming the wastelands.
Successfully doing so will net you a variety of rewards, the best of which are exclusive four-star Legendary gear pieces for Infestation events. I imagine that breeding them will be a great way for players to get a large arsenal of quality weapons and armor.
Notably, the trailer also revealed that from June 7th (today!) until June 15th, players will be able to enter for free daily rewards every day, from new cosmetics to useful game items.
Moreover, Fallout 1st — Fallout 76of controversial A premium subscription option that gives members exclusive cosmetics, unlimited crafting memory, monthly in-game currency for microtransaction purchases, and access to private servers to play on – there’s also a free trial from June 8th to June 15th, effectively giving you a week at no cost.
All in all, these are great offerings, and the Infestations update itself brings a lot of chaotic action to Fallout 76. I’m always happy to see a game doing well and getting more content.
