People have had enough Forza Horizon 6 to measure how good a game it is, and the reviews so far have been glowing. However, that doesn’t mean Playground Games can rest easy. The development team has announced that they’ve noticed a strange game save bug affecting both Xbox and PC players, and while they’ve given advice on what players can do to preserve their saves, they still don’t know exactly what’s wrong.

As seen NeowinIt’s in the Forza Support Group sent a message pertaining to people Forza Horizon 6 save files. Something seems to be wiping people’s progress, and while the team is still investigating what’s causing the problem, they’ve shared some good saving habits to minimize the chances of this happening to you:

  • Provide yourself Game Services software on PC or XBOX Series X|S console fully relevant.

  • On XBOX Series X|S consoles, Turn off Quick Resume For Forza Horizon 6.

    • To disable Forza Horizon 6’s use of Quick Resume, highlight the game box anywhere in the console experience (Home, My Games & Apps, Pins, etc.) and then click the button. Menu button, then skip Manage games and add-ons > Quick resume settings > Disable quick resume.

  • Make sure you are online when “exiting” the game.

  • Take the time to save to sync to the cloud before switching off or switching devices.

  • Don’t force quit the game during save screens.

  • Do not turn off the device during the game.

  • If you get an “Out of space” popup with a game crash, it is recommended that you check your memory and restart your console via the menu option or XBOX controller button.

If you’re moving between Xbox and PC, make sure you connect properly Forza Horizon 6 and then wait for the system to sync your saves to the cloud before switching to your other device. If your savings disappear, the team advises you open a ticket immediately and stop the game to increase the chances of data recovery.

Forza Horizon 6 made me stop doubting DLSS 4.5, and the evidence is hard to ignore.
