Josh Woodward from Google yesterday he asked For tweaks that Gemini app users want. The Gemini leader revealed the top 10 queries and Google progress today.
This isn’t the first time Woodward has asked for feedback on a Gemini app, but it comes after great feedback Neural expressive redesign in May.
The latest round generated over 1,400 responses in 12 hours, with the following Being a “top 10 stack ranking from your reviews so far, along with where we stand in each one.” (We added our comments and notes in italics below some points.)
1) Make Google Workspace integrations work more reliably: This is the clear #1 request and we all agree. On top of that. Gemini Spark has recently received a number of improvements, but it should be better across the board.
2) A more reliable tool call: I totally agree. We know we need to improve here, and you should expect to see significant gains soon.
- These improvements follow on from major improvements in future models.
3) Organizing projects and folders for conversations: Laptops are a positive step but not enough. We will review this UX again and report back.
- Notebooks can only be used for organizing chats, but Google wanted to integrate them with NotebookLM. People also want a simpler folder organization.
4) Add MCP and Special Skills: We’ve introduced early support in Gemini Spark with custom MCPs, custom skills, and several related apps, but we’re working to make it more widely available and add more MCPs.
- Recent third-party releases include Canva, Dropbox, Instacart, OpenTable, and Zillow.
5) Deep Research improvements: You asked for export reports to NotebookLM and the ability to switch between Deep Explore mode and Flash/Pro models in the same conversation. I was not aware of these pain points. Both are good ideas and we’ll figure something out.
6) Remove watermarks from Nano Banana: We’ll have a chat later today to see where we can make adjustments as we navigate the AI rules depending on the country.
7) Edit any message in the chat history: On. We will aim to do this, plus maintain our existing chat diversification feature.
8) Improve the accuracy of in-app voice dictation: We generally prefer this area. We will look into these specific responses and I may DM a few people to get more information if we need it.
9) Fix scrolling errors of mobile apps: It does.
10) Make “Celebrity Likeness” savers: We plan to keep it as it is now.
