
Since the launch of beta testing last August, it has received an AI-powered redesign Google Finance now launching with the new Android app.
Google has begun testing an overhaul of its Finance service In 2025. Gemini models allow you to ask and research stocks, while advanced charts and real-time data are also available.
Google Finance now coming out of beta with two new features. Portfolios are distributed globally, allowing you to view “all of your investments consolidated into a single dashboard that shows performance data, as well as asset allocation and more.”
You can create a portfolio by adding a screenshot or uploading files (PDF and CSV) detailing your holdings to Google Finance.
Once your portfolio is built, it’s easy to dive deeper with the research tool. “Which sectors are underrepresented in my portfolio?” try asking questions like or “how does a fixed income allocation affect my long-term growth potential?”

Google Finance now lets you request custom briefings in conversational style. For example: “Send me a daily pre-market briefing that analyzes significant overnight movements among major cryptocurrencies.”
Once created, you’ll be notified by the Google app on Android and iOS, and alerts will also appear online in the Google Finance research dashboard.

Speaking of apps, Google Finance once again Available on Android. The original program was removed in 2015.
At launch, the Google Finance app lets you access your watchlist, view real-time data with AI-powered highlights that “explain why stocks are moving,” and view live financial news feeds. There is also an option to use an artificial intelligence research tool.
Visually, the app has a floating toolbar with the ‘Ask’ tool available in the corner. Material 3 Expressive is widely used everywhere.
In the coming months, Google will add both live earnings calls and today’s presentations. Google Finance is available on Android today, with an iOS app coming “later this year.”
