after Refreshes the AI mode interfaceGoogle is now introducing a full-screen design for Search Live that is quite vibrant.
Since launch, Search Live has used an arcuate waveform because Google expects voice input and you speak. When answering, the arch bends downwards.
Old
Search Live now features a blue perimeter glow when asking a question. Then, when Google responds, the gradient below changes to a waveform.
The new design allows the video tape to occupy your entire screen instead of just the top of the screen. This gradient is actually quite vibrant and somewhat reminiscent of the Search Circle.
Redesign
The Unmute, Video, and Transcription buttons remain at the bottom. Other controls are still in the upper right corner, including the recently introduced “CC” for live captions. There are small spaces for web results carousel and other hints.
With version 17.20 of the Google app on Android, we’re seeing this Search Live design, but it’s not yet widespread.
